Discovery Semiconductors Balanced Photodiodes incorporating Variable Optical Delay increases the value added performance and convenience of the Lab Buddy Bench top instrument. The Lab Buddy provides specific voltages and factory set current limits for Discovery’s Balanced Photodiodes. The NEW 700 Series Balanced Photodiodes may be ordered with a variable optical delay option. This compact bench top instrument provides versatility and convenience for field demos and lab experiments for balanced photodiode applications. The variable optical delay is set by a front panel knob controlling one input of the balanced photodiode pair. The other photodiode input has a fixed optical delay centered around the variable range. A front panel switch enables easy photodiode selection for rear panel average photo current monitoring via a single SMA port making CMRR balancing easy and repeatable. Added features include HIGH QUALITY optical fiber connectors, which can be easily removed WITHOUT TOOLS, for cleaning the fiber optic ferrule. The use of the Multipurpose Adaptor System makes cleaning of the optical fiber ferrule quick and effortless. The connector type can also be changed in seconds, for example: a FC/PC connector can be changed to a SC/PC connector by ordering the appropriate option.
