Unmatched Sensitivity!
Discovery’s optical coherent receiver
systems provide a flexible communications platform with multiple
input and output options. They achieve high sensitivity, both
with and without an optical pre-amplifier. The systems can also
be used at other wavelengths such as 980 nm, 1064 nm, 1310 nm
and optical S band. By maintaining the optical phase information,
these receivers open up a whole new field of both digital and
analog optical signal processing.
Features:
- Useable spectral wavelength range of 780-1650 nm
- High sensitivity
- Detects multiple modulation formats
- Automatic wavelength tracking and locking to the incoming (WDM) signal
- Polarization independent operation
- Preserves optical phase information
- Cost-efficient and effective electrical compensation of optical impairments (chromatic dispersion, PMD)
- Maximum network flexibility
- Higher system margins for lower network maintenance
Applications:
- Fiber Optic Communications
- Electronic Compensation of Optical Impairments
- Intersatellite Optical Links
- Coherent LIDAR
- Intelligent Transport Systems
- Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV)
- Custom RF over fiber in the X band to Ku band
