Balanced PIN + (TIA or LNA) Optical Receivers

printable datasheet Request form for datasheet in PDF format    View online datasheet

A low-noise, 15 dB gain balanced photoreceiver for wavelengths from 800nm to 1650nm with over 14 or 20 GHz bandwidth. The optical signal is converted to electrical signals in identical wide-bandwidth InGaAs PIN diodes. The signals are then combined and amplified with 15 dB of power gain, rejecting common-mode noise, thus improving link SNR.

For busy test stations or student labs, where users of different experience levels might be handling high value opto-electronics that are easily damaged by mishandling, order your balanced optical receiver to be mounted in the Lab Buddy.

Features:
  • Improves light sensitivity by 3 dB
  • Usable spectral wavelength range of 800-1650 nm
  • Dual InGaAs PIN photodiodes
  • Small form-factor fiber-pigtailed package
  • Hermetically sealed and built to GR-468 standards
  • Lowest PDL (typical 0.05 dB)
  • CMRR exceeds 30 dB

Applications:
  • DPSK: Differential Polarization or Phase Shifted Keying modulation systems
  • Rapid Doppler-shift LIDAR measurements
  • Coherent lightwave systems
