Using the 2-R functions of receive and regenerate in a pigtailed 8-pin butterfly package, this low-noise module saves system designers board space while improving performance and reliability. Our DSC-R601PIN model provides a type K coaxial RF output and has a single-ended limiting amplifier providing a constant ~300 mVpp to following stages with optical input powers from -20 to +0 dBm. The APD version increases the sensitivity to -24 dBm (typ. 10-9 BER). Our DSC-R602PIN & R602APD models provide dual sub-miniature coaxial outputs and have a differential limiting amplifier providing a constant ~600 mVpp to following stages with optical input powers from -20 to +0 dBm. The InGaAs/InP Infrared Photodiode is ideal for 850 nm, 1330 nm, C and L band systems while the APD is best for 1330 nm, C and L band applications.

For busy test stations or student labs, where users of different experience levels might be handling high value opto-electronics that are easily damaged by mishandling, order your optical receiver to be mounted in the Lab Buddy.
